Judi, a graduate from Centennial College in Journalism, was a civilian member of the Ontario Provincial Police for more than 35 years upon her retirement in 2016. She spent her entire career working at General Headquarters, first at 90 Harbour Street in Toronto and later in Orillia. Her journalism training prepared her well for her work in the Awards and Recognition Unit, where she spent the majority of her career.

Upon moving to Simcoe County, Judi volunteered for ten years with the Barrie and District Big Brothers and Big Sisters and she remains close to her now adult “Little Sister” who lives in Alberta.

Judi and her husband Fraser live in Barrie with their two cats. They like to travel and visit their cottage near Powassan, Ontario. Judi also enjoys working out, reading, watching old movies and is a big Coronation Street fan.

In her retirement, Judi has been volunteering at the OPP Museum as well as with Friends and is an active member of the OPP Veterans’ Association. She has been a member of Friends since 2014 and became the Recording Secretary for the Board in 2017. She was subsequently elected to the Board as Secretary and is also currently serving as the Volunteer Coordinator.
